Die heraldische Werkstatt verkauft keine alten oder bereits bestehenden Wappen, sondern widmet sich ausschließlich der Erstellung neu gestifteter heraldischer Persönlichkeitszeichen bzw. der Neugestaltung historischer Vorlagen.

Leistungen und Umfang

• Zielfindungsgespräch
• fachliche Beratung zur Wappengestaltung und -erstellung
• rechtliche Beratung zur Neustiftung
• grober Aufriss des Wappens im Erstentwurf zusammen mit dem Wappenstifter
• Recherche in den gängigen und öffentlich zugänglichen Wappenbüchern zur Vermeidung der Gestaltung gleicher oder sehr ähnlicher Wappen, wobei hier insbesondere der regionale Aspekt Beachtung findet
• computergesteuerte Erstellung des kleinen und/oder großen Wappens (einfacher Wappenschild und/oder Vollwappen) vom Entwurf bis zur endgültigen Version
• Speicherung und Übermittlung derselben in der Endversion
• Ausstellung eines „Wappenbriefes“ mit Blasonierung (Beschreibung) des Wappens und gegebenenfalls erbrechtlichen Bestimmungen zur Weitergabe des Wappens.
• von Hand aufgerissene, farbliche Zeichnung auf geeigneten Trägermaterial. In der Regel wird es sich um einen bespannten Keilrahmen (so genannte Leinwand) handeln, jedoch sind weitere Materialien nach Kundenwunsch z.B. Holz, Leder, Metall etc. durchaus möglich.
• Eintrag in den hier geführten Wappenindex auf Wunsch. Es werden sowohl die edv-unterstützt erstellte Endversion, sowie die Ablichtung des Aufrisses eingestellt.

Erstellungszeit

Die Lieferzeit richtet sich nach der Art und dem Umfang des Auftrages, sowie der Komplexität und Größe des zu erstellenden Wappens. Ein Regelwert kann hierbei nicht genannt werden.

Qualität

Die heraldische Werkstatt hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, möglichst perfekte Arbeiten zu liefern und legt größten Wert auf Authentizität. Fehlerhafte Graphiken verlassen die Werkstatt nicht! Ein handgemaltes Wappen verlangt Kunstfertigkeit, Akkuratesse und Liebe zum Detail. Das Wappen wird mit selbst verfertigten -, Künstler- und Acrylfarben gemalt und erhält nach Durchtrocknung einen Klarlackfirnis.

Preise

*Einfache Erstellung via PC ohne kunstfertige Ausgestaltung im Kombipreis (Punkt 9 der Leistungen entfällt hierbei): 300 €.

Übergrößen können auf Anfrage erstellt und bearbeitet werden.

Davon unberührt bleibt der Wunsch von Personen, die ein bereits bestehendes Wappen neu gestaltet haben möchten, wobei die rechtliche Sorgfaltspflicht beim Auftragserteiler liegt. Eine fachliche und rechtliche Beratung bei bereits bestehendem Wappen erfolgt in entsprechender Weise, kann aber nur ohne Gewähr erteilt werden.

Heraldic Workshop

The Heraldic Workshop does not sell old or existing coat of arms, but works exclusively in the design and creation of newly-commissioned and/or the recreation of historical armorial bearings.

Services

• Discussion of the commissioned project (personally or via telephone or email)
• Professional consultation regarding the design and creation of coat of arms
• Consultation regarding legal and regulatory matters pertaining to the commission of a new coat of arms
• First draft of the coat of arms designed in consultation with the client
• Research using established and publically accessible coat of arms records and registers in order to avoid similar designs, with special attention paid to regional aspects
• Computer-generated large and/or small armorial bearings (basic or full-scale coat of arms), from first to final draft
• Saved final version and forwarding of said version
• Issuance of a Coat of Arms Certificate detailing the blazon (description) and, where applicable, terms for the transmission of coat of arms unto heirs as deemed by hereditary right
• Handcrafted, colour representation of armorial bearings on suitable backing material. Usually this refers to a stretcher frame canvas, but additional materials may be used according to the client’s wishes (e.g. wood, leather, metal).
• Entry into the Coat of Arms Index upon client’s request. Both the computer-generated final version and a photo of the handcrafted version will be shown.

Time to Completion

Delivery time depends on several factors including the type, size, complexity and scope of the commissioned work. As such, a standard time to completion cannot be provided.

Quality

It is the goal of the Heraldic Workshop to provide work of the highest quality and utmost authenticity. Faulty or second-rate graphics don’t leave the workshop! Handcrafted armorial bearings demand skilful artistry, accuracy and attention to detail. Coats of arms are painted with self-mixed, quality acrylics and are finished with a clear varnish.

*Computer-generated version only; no handcrafted final product (#9 under Services thereby rendered n/a) as part of the Combination Price: 300 €.

In addition to the creation of new coat of arms (see above pricing), clients may request a recreation of existing historical armorial bearings. In this case, however, duty of care rests with the commissioning party. Professional and legal consultation regarding existing coat of arms is provided on the terms that the Heraldic Workshop cannot and does not assume legal responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided, errors and omissions excepted.
